The best way to view the lake is on the lake. You can rent boats at the Sanford-Yake boat launch ramp. The best place to camp is also at Sanford-Yake; it's free:) You can enjoy swimming at Spring Canyon. Don't forget to take a guided tour at Alibates Flint Quarry.

Nice covered picnic areas, but watch out for the bees/wasps living in some of them. Park staff won't spray, they just want to leave the wildlife to themselves. Nice swimming area and picturesque trails.
