I was road tripping from Ohio to LA, so I only stayed one night. Glad I did.
(This review is for Fritch Fortress). I'm still wondering what the catch is. No cost for camping with individual shower stalls that lock, water, a picnic pavilion at each site, an incredible view of the lake, and a gentle breeze. I rolled in on the Saturday night before the eclipse and got a spot. Only thing I noticed is no fire rings at all the sites, but it was breezy so I wouldn't have made one anyhow.
It is beautiful. Fritch Fortress is where we were and its about 200-250 feet above water. Buts its great. No hookups but there is a dump station and water. Nice restrooms and hot showers.
This appears to be a popular place for boaters.
New bathroom facilities are very nice. Has private showers and hot water. Very clean!
Great camp grounds with covered tables. The view from the campgrounds is beautiful they also have a grill and fire pit at each one. Camping was free. They keep the camps and restrooms clean and nice. Great place to visit.
Great showers, wonderful place to feel connected to nature. Very private, nice place for a picnic.
